CEDIA will offer the first edition of the Electronic Systems Technical
Reference Manual for sale at the CEDIA Store at CEDIA EXPO 2008. The
reference book -- a comprehensive resource for anyone who installs,
designs, or has an interest in residential electronic systems -- fills
the need for a single body of knowledge that references the breadth of
technical information relevant to the industry.
The Electronic Systems Technical Reference Manual consolidates the
information found to be most pertinent to the work of residential
technicians and designers. The manual was built using knowledge from
core courses in CEDIA Universitys Electronic Systems Technician and
Electronic Systems Designer colleges. A team of technical writers
compiled the information into reference format, and subject matter
experts expounded upon the topics using accepted industry standards as
references.
The manual is recommended for use as a supplement to CEDIA University
education, as an in-house reference guide, and as a preparation tool
for CEDIA Certification exams. Chapters are presented by discipline,
and concepts progress from simple to complex within each chapter. Key
terms are provided to further define concepts, and review questions
allow the reader to gauge comprehension.
Content outlines for CEDIAs Advanced EST and Designer certification
exams, sample exam questions, and a summary of the certification
development process are all included in the appendix of the book.
The Electronic Systems Technical Reference Manual will be available in
the CEDIA Store at CEDIA EXPO 2008 in Denver, CO, September 37 at a
special introductory price of $89.
