Hauppauge, NY--Fred E. Scott, Jr. has joined Communications Specialties, Inc. (CSI) as the new director of strategic development. Having worked for Sony, Hitachi, Fiber Options and, most recently, General Electric, Scott has an extensive understanding of fiber optic technologies and the role fiber optics play in the professional AV and broadcast industries. Additionally, Scott is well recognized for his contributions to the industry though various fiber optic seminars and educational events.

Scott's responsibilities will include the development and management of relationships between manufacturers, to cultivate and maintain accounts with a national or international presence, and to advance strategic product definition and planning.
