Michael MacDonald Forms Pilot Business Strategies

September 20, 2008

Los Angeles, CA--Michael MacDonald has launched Pilot Business Strategies, a consulting resource for mid- and large-size companies seeking to "raise their competitive viability in today's global marketplace."

MacDonald brings two decades of technical, sales, marketing and executive management experience to the new firm, including positions with Yamaha Corporation, TimeLine and JBL Professional, where he served as the company's president for four years.

"These days, it's more difficult than ever for companies to successfully achieve both maximum market share and profitability," MacDonald said. "To do so requires resources that exist largely outside the normal day-to-day operations of a typical corporation."

MacDonald continued, "Thorough attention to competitive analysis, business planning, research, strategic and product marketing, effective marketing communications and brand development will provide companies with a more sustainable and profitable market position than their competition. And, after all, sustainability and profitability is what we're all looking to maximize."

The initial reaction has been strong, with Pilot Business Strategies signing several significant corporations, in diverse businesses and geographies, to their charter roster. MacDonald has designed Pilot to be a consulting firm that delivers the results clients expect in an environment designed to be collaborative, highly productive and cost-effective. "Now, there is a one-stop shop where a company has access to this expertise without tying up key staff resources," he said.

Pilot Business Strategies is located in Thousand Oaks, CA and is currently serving companies throughout the U.S. as well as overseas.
