PCS' PulseWorx Remote Access Port Software

September 1, 2009

PCS will introduce the PulseWorx Remote Access Port (RAP) Software Suite and Network Device Server at CEDIA 2009. This Ethernet-to-serial interface, (Model NDS-1111-PW) is now available and ready for immediate shipment.

The RAP Software Suite is based on a host server/client topology that creates a virtual COM port on any computer to allow UPStart or other software, a secure SSL communication path through the Remote Access Port Server, to the deployed NDS-1111•PW's from anywhere an Internet connection is available.

"Integrators are looking to be more profitable in these tough economic times. A "virtual service" call can save hundreds of dollars in time, energy and gasoline." PCS director of sales and marketing, Scott Klodowski, said. "We are delighted to offer an internet based recurring revenue solution which enables remote programming of PulseWorx Lighting Controls or any one of their other systems, without having to roll a truck."
