Sonic Foundry has made available a Crestron touchpanel user interface to control its Mediasite systems. Developed through Creston's Integrated Partner Program, the control module makes Sonic Foundry's Mediasite rich media presentation recorders even easier for integrators to deploy.
The new Crestron interface becomes available with the next generation of Mediasite products. The latest versions of Mediasite deliver new levels of versatility and performance in a complete and integrated package. Interoperability with Crestron's unified remote-control panel further extends the ease and flexibility of Mediasite within A/V-ready rooms.
"In a relatively short amount of time, Sonic Foundry has made a name for itself among our dealers who now interface with Mediasite products on a regular basis," said Chris Wildfoerster, director of market development for Crestron. "As part of our ongoing partnership, we continue to support their efforts by creating Crestron-certified modules that allow them to quickly, reliably and seamlessly integrate Sonic Foundry products into a Crestron system solution."
Members of Crestron's Integrated Partner Program represent a coalition of manufacturers in the systems integration market. Crestron has developed programs that allow these manufacturers' products to be easily incorporated into a Crestron "plug-and-play" systems solution.
"The addition of a Crestron control module will further simplify the integration of Mediasite into A/V facilities and provide new opportunities for system designers and consultants, while giving our customers even greater control over their communications," said James Dias, vice president of marketing and sales, Sonic Foundry. "Mediasite's dual-channel, real-time processing provides speed and graphic capabilities that have enabled the system to become the 'must-have' appliance for presentation rooms in education, corporate, healthcare and government facilities."
The Mediasite codec is a model available for systems integrators and VARs. Existing customers on Sonic Foundry's SmartServe customer assurance program can retrofit their current systems with a free software upgrade.
