The Micromega WM-10 AirStream

The Micromega WM-10 “AirStream” ($1,595 MSRP) features a 24-bit/192 kHz DAC that combines with jitter-reducing re-clocking circuitry and a highly regulated noise-filtering R-Core transformer. The 802.11n Wi-Fi within the product delivers a 300-foot wireless listening perimeter, while multiple WM-10s can be set up to deliver content throughout a home.

The WM-10 AirStream was designed to seamlessly connect with Apple’s iTunes, as well as Sonic Studio’s Amarra, and Rogue Amoeba’s Airfoil software.

“We set up an extremely demanding two-channel system in our corporate demonstration room to see just how good sounding the WM-10 was. Even using a well regarded CD Player retailing for $10,000, we were unable to discern any difference between the CD and the AirStream; and that was before we auditioned 24/192 based music files,” Daniel Jacques, President of Audio Plus Services, explained. “Wow, the AirStream WM-10 really signals the start of a whole new era in musical fidelity, content access, and ease of use.”

The WM-10 AirStream will be shipping later in January 2010.
