Visonic Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of home security and safety systems and components, is marketing its PowerMax Express security control panel directly to the CEDIA channel.

According to the company, their panel installs in half the time as other panels and provides upsell opportunities.

By leveraging its experience in professional security systems, Visonic created a self-contained panel that balances affordability and performance. It features a standard built-in PSTN communicator and offers the flexibility to add internal, field-upgradeable GSM/GPRS communication module. These flexible communications options ensure maximum reliability in the delivery of events to the alarm central station by facilitating internal redundancy of GPRS, GSM, and SMS.

"After extensive research into changing market needs, we developed the PowerMaxExpress to complete Visonic's range of professional security systems," Visonic Americas president Bill Lyon said. "This all-in-one panel provides the ideal combination of functionality and cost-effectiveness, and gives our customers the versatility to offer the broadest range of homeowners the right solution to meet their needs and budget."

PowerMax Express includes a built-in PSTN communicator and a choice of add-on internal GSM/GPRS communications modules. The solution can be extended further with a range of accessories and expansion options, including safety detectors and personal emergency transmitters, one-way or two-way keypads, keyfobs and wireless sirens.

PowerMaxExpress is compliant with most international standards and offers maximum reliability and performance. Advanced security features include PCB board protection from accidents or sabotage, and a two-way wireless system with a diversity antenna to facilitate highly-reliable radio communication.

Another slam-dunk for custom installers adding this security offering to their customers, and scope of services, is that end users can learn to use it simply and quickly, the company says. “The icon-labeled keys and intuitive logical control panel make it straightforward to use,” Thompson stated. “The available keyfob touchpad even further simplifies its operation. The overall offering of equipment, support and warranty makes us feel very comfortable using Visonic.”
