SolidDrive Now Available in Three Colors

March 9, 2010

Induction Dynamics is now offering its SolidDrive sound transducer units in three colors: the existing chrome finish and new matte black or titanium finishes.

Induction Dynamics' SolidDrive sound transducers have three colors for different applications and heat conditions.

SolidDrive’s sound transducers are designed to transmit acoustical energy using almost any solid surface. The entire surface with which SolidDrive comes in contact becomes a speaker, delivering sound and the frequency response of conventional diaphragm speakers.

According to the company, the new black and titanium SolidDrive units have an anodized finish that provides better temperature resistance for a wider range of operating conditions. An optional heat sink is also available for the SolidDrive units if they will be installed in an enclosed area where excess heat may be of concern.

“These new colors will not only handle higher temperatures, they give the integrator more options in making the units blend in to their installations,” said Duke Ducoff, VP of Sales for MSE Audio Group. “A key concept of SolidDrive is its ability to provide sound without any visible speakers. A black unit mounted against a dark surface will essentially disappear, while a titanium or chrome unit will blend in with metal surfaces in a home, store display or kiosk.”
