By RS Staff, June 29, 2010

Home Automation Inc. (HAI) is now shipping metal faceplates for its OmniTouch 5.7e and OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreens.

They are available in black (53A05-BA), gold (53A05-GA), and silver (53A05-SA), and are made from machined aluminum stock with a brushed steel appearance.

HAI's new metal faceplates for its OmniTouch 5.7e and OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreens are available in black, gold, and silver.

The faceplates also are anodized for a lasting finish that is resistant to fingerprints.

The new faceplates are the same form factor as HAI's six existing plastic faceplates (available in almond, black, ivory, light almond, silver, and white), but there are differences beyond the material. On the metal version, the interior bezel is rounded instead of square shaped, and the speaker grill features small circles as opposed to horizontal lines.

The metal version features no logos, which further streamlines the appearance.

"HAI's metal faceplates are a fantastic upgrade option for existing OmniTouch 5.7 and 5.7e Touchscreens, or soon-to-be installed Touchscreens," explained Allison Read, HAI director of international sales & marketing.  "The metal faceplates have received an incredibly warm response from our dealers and distributors for both residential and commercial applications."
