Triad Delivers MicroSat 3.0

By RS Staff, July 7, 2010

Triad Speakers has begun shipping its new OnWall MicroSat 3.0, a 3-in-1 full-range LCR available in custom sizes for flat-screen TVs 32 to 65 inches wide.

The MicroSat 3.0 integrates three separately enclosed two-way speaker configurations into one cabinet that attaches to the TV or mounts onto the wall below it. Triad’s bracing and dampening techniques render the cabinet acoustically inert, the company says. MSRP is set at $600.

“With TV prices steadily trending downward, and their (TV) depths becoming shallower in general, the sound quality of the integrated TV speakers is becoming poorer,” explained Triad director of sales and marketing Paul Scarpelli. “The MicroSat 3.0 represents a significant sonic upgrade from standard TV speakers, providing excellent fidelity when used by itself or with one of our OmniSubs and surround speakers.”

Each MicroSat 3.0 is built to order in Triad’s factory in Portland, Oregon.

Standard finish of the MicroSat 3.0 is matte black cabinet and cloth grill. At no additional cost, the cabinet can be custom paint matched to any sample color provided by the dealer. While the MicroSat 3.0’s standard measurements are 32 inches wide by four inches high by 2.25 inches deep, custom sizing is available (at an up-charge) to match the width of the flat-screen TV, in quarter-inch increments, up to 65 inches wide.
