This updated version features full HD video support and full 1080p.

The AT-HDPiX2 is a USB to HDMI adapter designed to add an HDMI port to any computer without dropping frames during high motion video such as sports, or video games, the company says.

From digital signage to home theater, the HDPiX2 provides a simple solution for viewing content from any Mac or PC (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows7, Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.2, Leopard 10.5.8, Tiger 10.4.11, Mac OS X 64 Bit and additional operating systems in the works) on any HDTV at a maximum resolution of 1080p or 1600x1200, according to Atlona.

The device features a small form factor, which allows it to hide behind computers or displays. The attached USB cable is used to transfer HD video and audio signal, ensuring high-quality playback, and is also used as the unit’s power supply.

Audio from the computer is embedded with the video and transferred to an HDTV over a single HDMI cable. Along with its unique functions and affordable pricing, operating this unit is as simple as plug, which will please families and friends alike.

Atlona’s AT-HDPiX2 is available with an MSRP of $149, making it the perfect addition to any home theater system.
