A new company, called Alcova, has designed a product to eliminate the "wall clutter" associated with less-attractive low-voltage controls, such as alarm keypads, intercoms, and thermostats.

The Allcova 1

The Allcova 1 is a sturdy plastic box that can be installed between construction studs, and then finished with an attractive safety edge or plastered and painted flush until it is nearly invisible. It has a flexible back to support any depth of application and a hidden hinge that will not bind or corrode. For more information, visit www.allcova.com.
